The Comparative Study For The Bath Culture And Appliances Development Between China And Europe

The long history of European sanitary phylogeny has laid a solid foundation for itsdominant status in the sanitary market today. On the contrary, Chinese sanitaryindustry not only started very late but so far is still managed under the OEM andODM business model. Moreover, sanitary products from European and otherdeveloped countries are widely marketed in China, transforming the latter into thefabrication plant and selling market of the former. As the world-wide communicationdeepens, bath culture of European and other developed countries spreads into China,triggering Chinese to reconsider the value of bathe and bathe behavior. All these exertan impact on the development of Chinese bathing appliances. Therefore, it isnecessary to systematically analyze the characteristics and differences of Chinese andEuropean bath culture and appliances and learn lessons from the development ofEuropean bath culture and appliances, so that given the influence of external andinternal bath culture we can still orientate clearly the development direction ofChinese bath appliances and estimate precisely their export demand, which is of greatsignificance for Chinese sanitary industry to participate in and integrate itself into theinternational sanitary market.Taken bath culture as the clue, this paper researched the development process offamily bath appliances. Firstly, the development of European bath culture wasclassified into four phases based on the development of bath culture, namely ancientGreece period, ancient Rome period, Medieval and Renaissance period, the Bourgeoisera. On the other hand, the development of Chinese bath culture was divided into sixstages, namely the Original period, Xia and Shang dynasty Xizhou period, Spring andAutumn period Warring States time, the Qin and Han and the Wei, Jin and Southernand Northern Dynasties, Sui-Tang dynasty till the Ching dynasty and the period sincemodern times. To catch a clear picture of the development of bath culture and familybath appliances and to obtain a systematical study as well, we analysis the impactsplayed by factors including geographical characteristics, historical reasons, thecustoms and rituals the level of science and technology on the characteristics offamily bath appliances, demonstrating the relation between bath Culture and family bath appliances. Second, we conducted a comparative analysis of the causesattributing to the differences in the development of family bath appliances betweenEurope and China. Influence of the geographical environment, historical reasons,cultural traditions, materials technology, matchup between bath appliances and space,art style and other aspects was also taken into account. Positive factors in thedevelopment of European family bath appliances were also summed up for ourlearning. Finally, we also analyze the development trend of the family bath appliancesin modern Europe and other developed countries. Furthermore, prospects of Chinesefamily bath appliances in modern times were also fully discussed considering theinfluence of bath culture of European and other developed countries and alternationsin Chinese living environment, way of entertainment, consumption patterns.
