Organic light emitting diodes as the next generation displaytechnologiesattractswidespread attention from the academia and the business community. At present, the absenceof blue materials hinds the application of OLEDs. The core of next generation ofdisplaytechnology commercial application is a polymer light-emitting diode (PLED) with good colorpurity, efficiency and long life. Meanwhile, with the development of organic semiconductormaterials, the scientists try to develop a novel organic thin film transistor (OTFT) instead ofthe existing thin film transistor gate insulating layer, a semiconductor layer(channel material).The materials are basically single-stage five-membered ring or a single six-membered ring–based. In order to explore the differences, we need to consider the five-membered ring andsix-membered ringstogether.Aiming at these problems, we get a series of synthetic polymers blue material, and studyits properties. Meanwhile, we get amaterial of OTFTs with indoles, and study its properties.The main contents are as follows:First,4,4’-dibromo-2,2’-diiodobiphenyl as starting materials, we designed andsynthesized five9,9-two silicon-substituted fluorene monomers with hole transporting groupsas side chain. Two of their copolymers havea good color purity. We believe thatfurther studyon the performances showed from these five polesilafluorene will lead to better light emittingmaterials.In the third chapter, wedesigned and synthesizeda large molecular structure derivative ofindole,obtained a soluble polymeric indole polymer via Suzuki coupling method, and studiedthis polymer properties and electrochemical properties.The next step, we will continue tostudy the electroluminescent properties of this polymer.
