| In the present thesis the modified Tung oil compounds were prepared using Tungoil as raw material. The Tung oil was firstly reacted with methanol to convert tomethyl eleostearate, and then the methyl eleostearate obtained was used to prepareepoxidized methyl eleostearate by reaction with hydrogen peroxide and acetic acidunder the catalysis of concentrated sulfuric acid and dibutyl phthalate(DBP). Theeffects of reaction temperature, reaction time, catalyst dosage and the ratios of the rawmaterials on epoxy value of product were discussed. The optimized processconditions were obtained for the preparation of epoxidized methyl eleostearate.Besides, the methyl eleostearate obtained was used to manufacture a Tung oil-basedanhydride and hydroxylated Tung oil by the reaction with maleic anhydride andalkylol amine, respectively. Then the Tung oil-based anhydride was used to prepareTung oil-based polyamide with low molecular weight and the polyamines with siliconby the reaction with triethylene tetramine and silane coupling agent, respectively.Both of them can be used as the curing agent for epoxy resins.The characterizations and properties to the products were carried out with FTIR,DSC, TGA. The results show that the epoxy value of epoxidized methyl eleostearateis1.32and the polyamide with silicon can improve the curing performance for epoxyresins. |
