6xxx aluminum alloy is a typical age-hardening alloy. Because of its highstrength, excellent processability, strain resistance and other advantages, it has avery broad application prospects in many fields, especially in the field of aerospace.Considering the current increasing demand of aluminum alloy, we should designmore optimized processes to meet high mechanical properties, good formability andenergy saving requirements. So the investigation of deformation andrecrystallizationrecrystallization texturedevelopment to improve its formability and usability has animportant meaning. In the present work, the6082aluminum alloys were cold rolledto different reductions and then annealed at different temperature and itsmetallographic structure, evolution of texture and mechanical properties wereinvestigated. The results show that the strength of the β fiber component of6082aluminumalloy increased with the cold rolling deformation increasing while the Gosscomponent increases at first and decreases afterwards. The results show that yieldstrength and ultimate tensile strength of cold rolled sheets increase with increasingthe cold rolling reduction and whereas elongation decreases. The6082aluminumalloy recrystallization texture strength is weak after homogenization treatment. Therecrystallization cube and r-cube textures were stronger with increasing theannealing temperature. As the cold rolling deformation increased, Therecrystallization cube texture increased at first, but at the deformation of96.4%wasreduced. Its mechanical properties are determined by the grain size the change of theprecipitated phase. With the annealing temperature increased, the yield strength andultimate tensile strength decreases at first and increases afterwards, and whereaselongation rise before they are slightly lower. The ultimate tensile strength of coldrolled sheets increased with the cold rolling deformation increasing during lowtemperature annealing and reduced during high temperature annealing.
