| High speed machining technology can effectively improve the machining precisionand the processing efficiency of the work-piece and reduce the processing cost, but itdemands the high speed machine with higher positioning strength and connection stiffness.The widely used HSK tool system as increasing its spindle speed, its spindle/handleinterface separation cone gradually appears which leads to the reduction of its positioningability and connection stiffness, affects the quality of surface processing and restricts theincreasing of its handle’s limit rotational speed. Therefore, the handle/spindle interfaceconnection is a major factor of high speed machining tool system.For the above problem, this paper will design a high-speed spindle system withanti-expansion caused by centrifugal force and analyze the coupling performance of itshandle/main shaft interface. The main research work is as follows:(1) Structural design of the high-speed spindle system with anti-expansion caused bycentrifugal force. Apply related theories and the simulation calculation to make structuraldesign of the tight set group, hydraulic cylinder and bolt connection.(2) Analyze the tool system interface deformation in theory, conclude the influencingfactors of the interface deformation, establish the finite element model and make the finiteelement analysis of the spindle/handle interface deformation and the limit rotational speed.(3) Analyze the coupling characteristics of the tool system. Analyze the roles of theinfluencing factors such as pre-tightening force, interface cone with surplus quantity andlimit rotational speed in the performance of the tool system’s coupling with the finiteelement analysis software and compare with the conventional HSK tool system.(4) Establish the tool system’s mechanics model. Analyze the stiffness characteristicsof tool system in theory and the factors of the high-speed spindle system withanti-expansion caused by centrifugal force interface radial stiffness with the finite elementanalysis software and make contrast with conventional HSK tool system at the same time.The high-speed spindle system with anti-expansion caused by centrifugal forceperforms better than the conventional HSK tool system and its limit rotational speed and radial stiffness are superior to the conventional HSK tool system. |
