P91multip-ram forging is the important component of weapons aviationaerospace and other fields. The new requirements appeared for P91multip-ram forgingwith the development of science and technology, simple forging forming can’t meet therequirements of practical application. Therefore,it’s become more important toimprove the property for forgings. This paper has studied the P91multip-ram forgingprocess and proposed a process from the aspects of refining grain.This paper calculated the flow stress curve for P91material through simulationmethod. Based on the flow stress curve and literature,P91mathematical model ofdynamic recrystallization is got.Based on the Forge platform simulation research the multip-ram forging process,and the simulation results is verified by practical production. Use P91mathematicalmodel of dynamic recrystallization project grain organization in process simulation,and through metallographic experiment verify the prediction and P91mathematicalmodel of dynamic recrystallization.Through the simulation research of different process parameters, found the mainprocess parameters of multip-ram forging effecting on the temperature field, loadingforce, and the grain size and grain distribution. For the typical parts: as the formingspeed reduce and average grain diameter reduce; coefficient of friction affect the grainsize distribution for the forging directly; adjust the initial forging temperature canstrengthen the grain refining for the local parts. Provide a theoretical basis for theprocess optimization of multip-ram forging.Proposed the process optimization, which decrease the average grain diameterand uniform the grain distribution for forging, of P91typical parts. At the same timeprovides the research methods for improving the property of multip-ram forging parts.
