Open-pit stripping schedule is to determine the relationship between time andspace in the development of open-pit mine production, which decides open-pitstripping time and amount and digging trenches to advance, and it is the key to guidethe rational and orderly throughout the open-pit production and obtain maximumeconomic benefits. Therefore, the open-pit stripping schedule effective management isessential. The stripping schedule of open-pit mine production is the dynamic progress,and including the ore properties, production equipment and schedule planning andother relevant dynamic and static information, the traditional stripping schedule has acertain arbitrariness and empirical, cannot fully express every relationships betweenthe stripping schedule, the dynamic allocation of the necessary resources to achievethe stripping schedule visualization, information and intelligence. Therefore, it has tothorough studies conducted for the progress of the open-pit stripping.This paper will bring4D technology, computer visualization technology, systemsengineering and other technology into the open-pit stripping schedule management. Itdefines the concept of4D information model, and analyzes the time attribute andspatial properties of the model, on this basis, according to the construction principle4D model, in order to realize the dynamic simulation of stripping process, and providethe theoretical basis and efficient management; according to the spatial properties ofthe4D model, constructing the three-dimensional model of open-pit mine in thispaper; the dynamic data of static data spatial attributes in the4D simulation and time attributes, the data integration technology, constructing the spatio-temporal databasefor the organization and management of key data; technology and the interactivetechnology to realize the realistic4D simulation animation and rendering of the scene,is researched and developed.This paper discusses the4D information model in open-pit mining and strippingprocess definition, characteristics and key technologies of modeling, from a newperspective theoretical framework proposed open-pit stripping schedule informationmodel and application of key technologies. This model is the new application ofinformation technology in the field of mining, and it will have a new perspective.
