In ancient times, China was called “Silk Country”. In China, Writings about the descriptionof silkworm first appeared in the Han Dynasty, but as time goes by, the career of silkwormbecomes Prosperous or fall into decay. So it is of great significance to collect, collate, correctionand comparison of ancient books of sericulture in China. Modern times, there is few books of theresearch of explore “Extensive research of a view of bin province” and the scientific ideas of itsauthor Yang Shen. The majority of these books analysis the life and works of Yang, or thestructure based on the book, so my article has certain value in science and innovation.“Extensiveresearch of a view of bin province” was written by Yang Shen in Qing Dynasty, it is his lifetimework, it is the most popularization of science book about sericulture in ancient China, the bookintroduces the mulberry cultivation, sericulture, silk reeling from to the spinning, weaving andother specific process in detail, with the ballad form, and pictures of silkworm sericulture, explainthe theory of sericulture concretely, figuratively, popularly, having very high popularization value.The language of works is also very convenient, targeted and practical, plays a certain part inrenaissance the original rich style of bin province. But because of the time limitation, it inevitablydrawn about some error conclusions about sericulture origin and sacrifice, and the unrealistic ofhis dream of renaissance the original rich style of bin province. But the technology in “Extensiveresearch of a view of bin province” is very important to understand of other books of agriculture,such as “Agricultural books of Wang Zhen”, especially for the cold process, the spinning process,it has become the material can not be ignored to study ancient history of textile technology inChina.Firstly, on the basic of the translation of the content of silkworm in “Extensive research of aview of bin province” word by word, and refer to the textile parts of “Agricultural books of WangZhen” and other books, I systematic study the silkworm procedure and silk weaving technique,come to some conclusions. Especially to the study on the shape of pedal spinning wheel in“Extensive research of a view of bin province”, my article find some doubts in textile history academics, it is not the so-called non crank device long shape of the spinning wheel, it is a verycommon pedal spinning wheel, is nothing but an unconcave-convex structure of connection pointcrank. Lastly, this paper attempts to connect the connotation, characteristic,achievement, influence and science ideology of Yang Shen, especially his practical thought, try toprovide a model for the relationship of science ideology and science achievement.
