With the rapid development of plastics industry, recycling thermosettingplastics has become a hot pot due to the reprocessing difficulties. Hot pressingmethod become the primary means as it is simple, green and effective. In this study, waste thermosetting plastics SAN was recycled to prepare high-performanceregenerated panels through density regulation and blending modification. Firstly,SAN regenerated panels with different densities were prepared and the maximumachievable true density and corresponding feeding amount were determined. On thisbasis, PVC and epoxy composite panels were prepared with different resin amount indifferent processing conditions. The mechanical properties, water resistance, corrosion resistance and flame retardancy were tested and the preparing conditionswere optimized. Through SEM, TG, DSC, FTIR and XRD analysis, the relationshipbetween the performance and structure was studied. Results showed that:(1) The maximum true density was1.2g/cm3. SEManalysis showed that SAN powder inside high density SAN panels combined morefirmly, and cleavage fracture appeared plate-type.(2) The optimum preparingcondition of PVC composite panels was that, mold temperature:185/180℃, moldpressure:15MPa, holding time:5min, PVC added amount:20%; The optimumpreparing condition of epoxy composite panels was that, mold temperature:175/170℃, mold pressure:10MPa, holding time:5min, epoxy added amount:10%.(3) PVC played a structurally enhanced role. SEM analysis showed goodcompatibility of PVC and SAN, XRD analysis showed that the crystallinity of PVCcomposite panels increased, infrared analysis showed that PVC and SAN had acertain degree of interaction; epoxy play a mechanically enhanced role. infraredanalysis showed epoxy have no chemical reaction with SAN, SEM analysis showedthat closely combined epoxy/SAN aggregates were formed inside the epoxycomposited panels.(4) The mechanical properties, water resistance, corrosionresistance and flame retardance of SAN regenerated panels and composite panels allreached the national standard of physicochemical board.
