Perovskite-type oxides (FeYO3,SrFeO3,YCrO3,LaCrO3,CaZrO3,SrZrO3,BaZrO3), scheelite-typeoxides (CaCrO4, SrCrO4, BaCrO4) and spinel-type composite oxides(BaFe2O4) were synthesizedby Sol-gel method using citric acid as the complexing agent. The different reaction conditionssuch as sintering temperature, sintering atmosphere, the pressure of reaction were explored bychemical methods IR and TG. The samples were detected by means of X-ray powderdiffraction(XRD), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and X-ray photoelectron spectrometry(XPS) in order to characterize the structure, surfacemorphology, internal particle diameter and the surface oxygen content of the samples. The resultsshowed that metal complex oxides with single-phase structure can be synthesized by Sol-gelmethod. The average particle diameters of most samples were calculated by the Debye-Scherrerformula which were smaller than100nm. So the samples belong to namoparticle. The citratesol-gel method has so many advantages such as simple technology, short reaction time, high puritysynthetic products, easier to industrialized production. Hence, this method has broad prospect ofdevelopment and application. This article focuses on dye wastewater photocatalytic degradation test using the perovskite-typecomposite oxides as photo-catalysts. And that the reason of photocatalytic degradation of dyes, illumination time, diverse catalysts were also explored in this article. Photocatalytic degradationexperiments of soluble acidic, alkaline, neutral, and a mixture of all three dye tests were doneusing ACrO3(A=Y,La) and AZrO3(A=Ca,Sr,Ba)as photo-catalysts. And we can get the impact ofthe A-site ions of the composite oxide to the photocatalytic degradation efficiency. The finalanalysis from the perspective of the negative power and tolerance factor obtained showed that thesmaller the ionic radius of the A bit, the higher efficiency of photocatalytic degradation when thecomposite oxide ABO3with the same ion B. But it also changed by the content of the surfaceoxygen species. It can be summed up by photocatalytic experiments that the photocatalyticefficiency of composite oxides prepared by citrate sol-gel method is very high, and it has boththeoretical significance and practical value.
