| As the only function of urban water nowadays, landscape function has beendeteriorated by apparent pollution. Despite the attention paid on it, the study about it is stillrare because it’s hard to record and compare.The evaluation method of urban water sensory quality based on water quality indexeshad achieved initial outcome in evaluating sensation quality of urban water: it canrepresent water sensory quality with consecutive numbers, which can be recorded and iscomparable. It is more appropriate for evaluating water sensation quality than the methodswidely used nowadays but lay particular emphasis on distinguishing water function.The shortcomings engendered in application:low confirmity and hardness inmonitoring,etc. Parameters were optimized in order to get SQI(sensory quality index)improved.31classic urban waters in Suzhou City were observed and monitored inlong-term to select appropriate parameters on the basis of the relationship of indexes andwater sensation quality, other waters were used to confirm it,thus to enhance theconformity and make it more scientific and convenient.Conclusions are as follows:⑴Evaluation method in the field had right train of thought. It was the differentcontribution of sensation elements that caused low confirmity. The weighted value ofsensation elements were revised as0.45,0.45and0.1, thus to enhance conformity from66%to87.04%, and provide more accurate standard values for SQI.⑵Chroma and transparency were replaced by Chla and S2-;standards were setaccording to the relationship between them and water sensation quality; compared theresults of different weight values and model, signed weight values and M(·,+) wereregarded more fittable. The result of tests showed it has good accuracy and reliability.⑶The improved SQI was applied to urban water in Suzhou except for those using tostart the model, and the result showed it is blanket, comparable and can be recorded andprovide evidence for urban water planning and management. Comparison and analysis ofwater quality monitoring data and results of SQI in2011and2013indicated that SQI canreflect governance effect of urban water better, and is valuable in engineering. |
