With the continuous development and utilization of mineral resources in SuzhouKaolin, Tens of thousands of tons of tailings were produced per year. A large mount of landwas occupied, the environment was polluted, the human heath was threated and theresources were serious wasted. So the company of Suzhou Kaolin intended to solve theproblem of environmental pollution and achieve circular economy.We have researched and produced a kind of inorganic polymer flocculant PAFCand silica-gel filler using the tailings of Suzhou Kaolin of company, high alumina andsilica and iron along were contained in the tailings, which was best to produce PAFC.The results show that, The resource utilization kaolin tailings has provided a new way,and to achieve the purpose of turning waste into treasure, for the sound development ofthe kaolin industry provides a new platform.Based on the many of references and previous studies, Suzhou kaolin resourcestailings were studied systematically, the following conclusions were reached.The orthogonal variable method and single-factor experiments are used in theresearch. The best preparation condition of PAFC was:the calcined kaolin tailings isobtained by the roasting temperature650℃,the calcining time2h, the acid pickingreaction time2h,the acid picking temperature85℃,the mass ration of solid-liquid as1:3, the cured temperature55℃, the cured time10h, the calcium alkaline agent wasused2.0g/100mL, a spray-dried was used, temperature was controlled at80℃,afterthat, the PAFC had been produced.The PAFC was detected by a series of instruments. the aluminum content was24.5%, the basicity was60.3%, at pH=5, the Zeta potential PAFC was46.3mV.The polluted river, the wastewater of making paper and dyeing were processed bythe PAFC. The different factors, such as water temperature, flocculant addition amount,pH and water conditions were considered. The removal efficiency of COD wasconsidered to the main index. The papermaking wastewater, printing and dyeingwastewater COD removal efficiency reached90%. The PAFC was dispersed in water,large alum and dense settlement was formed.The silica-gel filler was produced using the residue, which was caused byproducing the PAFC. The specific surface of silica-gel filler was350m2/g, as anadditive was applied in the preparation of the resin network. The results show that, this resin net compared to asbestos, whether corrosion resistance or in thermal conductivity,the resin net performance both are better than that of asbestos network, it can replace theasbestos network.
