Abstract/Summary:
This paper was studied the preparation of a series of dehydroabieticamine oxide surfactants, which were synthesized with Dehydroabietate asthe main materials, and optimized the synthetic process conditions, characterized the products structures, the physicochemical properties andapplication performance of the products were also studied. The specificresearch results were as follows:1. Dehydroabietylamine and Dehydroabietic acid were separatedand purified by ethanol amine amination in multiple crystallization fromcrude product, then, The products were characterized by FT-IR, UV;detected by HPLC and also measured its melting point.2. Two new dehydroabietic amine oxide surfactants weresynthesized from dehydroabietylamine via alkylation and oxidation.based on the single-factor experiment, the oxidation conditions optimizedby the orthogonal test, The results showed that suitable synthesis reactionconditions were as follows: temperature85℃, reaction time12h, n(hydrogen peroxide): n (tertiary)=1.5:1and the amount of catalyst2%.The content of the amine oxide all were above70%in repetitiveexperiments. It shows good stability and less error.3. Three new dehydroabietic amide oxide surfactants weresynthesized from dehydroabietic acid via chloroformylation, amidationand oxidation. based on the single-factor experiment, the oxidationconditions optimized by the orthogonal test, The results showed thatsuitable synthesis reaction conditions were as follows: temperature80℃,reaction time12h, n (hydrogen peroxide): n (tertiary)=1.5:1and theamount of catalyst1.5%. The content of the amine oxide all were above 70%in repetitive experiments. It shows good stability and less error. The structure of target products was confirmed by FT-IR,1H NMR.4. The physical and chemical properties were studied of the criticalmice concentration (CMC) values, the surface tension at their CMC (γcmc)values, saturated extent of adsorption(Γ∞), molecule cross-sectionalarea(A), HLB values, Ionic strength effect, and else the applicationperformances were measured, just as emulsifying power (EP), foamingpower (FP), compatibility(CP), Anti-hard water surfactant compatibilitytest. Results showed that these dehydroabietic amine oxide surfactantshave high surface activities, the γcmcwas the range of22-36mN·m-1, TheΓ∞was increased with the carbon chain growth, and the A was decreasesaccordingly; The surface performance experimental data also showed thatthis kind of surfactants with strong emulsifying power, good foamstability, stability foaming ability, Compatibility and Hard waterresistance.5. The self-synthesized product of N,N-dimethyl dehydroabieticamine oxide (DDAO) modified natural zeolites, and the structure ofmodified zeolite was confirmed by XRD, FT-IR, SEM, BET, TGA andother analytical method; it was investigated loading, reaction time, thedosage of adsorbents, PH value, ionic strength effect on the adsorption ofhumic acid of DDAO by static adsorption experiments; using kineticadsorption model, isothermal adsorption model and thermodynamicmodel to fit the experimental data, and formed a preliminary adsorptionmechanism. Research shows that N,N-dimethyl dehydroabietic amineoxide modified zeolites can improve removal capacity of natural zeoliteadsorption of humic acid in water.
