The reliability assessment and Improvement of Mine ventilation system (MVS) is adecision-making problem about complexity system which is composed of many integrating, interrelating and interdependent quantitative and qualitative factors. Mine Ventilation System, which has its own unique feature,is a complex, stochastic and fuzzy system. Reliability hasan important effect on the MVS’ design and operation. The reliability assessment of MVSshould respond very quickly to the degree of the MVS’ safety,in order to provide significantinformation for the mangers, which can revise the MVS timely and remove the major orhidden peril based on this information.Based on the study of the actuality of the reliability assessment of mine ventilationsystem in mines, in order to get the essential basic information for ventilation system First, the mining methods, mining development and ventilation system of Xishimen Mine weredescribed. The paper detailedly investigates and measures the current condition of ventilationsystem of Qinglong Mine and also analyzes and evaluates it. On the basis of those, the paperexplores the elements that related to the ventilation system and their stability. The significantmeaning of conducting the in-situ measurement, assessment and improvement of the Qinglongmine ventilation was pointed out.Based on the theory of the reliability project and combined with the feature of MVS. Inthis paper, the model of MVS’ reliability is given. The factor system of MVS’ reliabilityevaluation and its functions are advanced. The factor system of MVS’ reliability including98factors and they are divided into10classes. Each factor’s weight and its algorithm are analyzed. The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method of the Mine Ventilation System is raised. Thepaper also applied the acquired results to assessment and improvement of the mine ventilationsystem of Qinglong Mine, and proved the feasibility project. The application indicates that theacquired results are very useful. The research results in this dissertation contribute to some offunction in project application.
