This paper makes an analysis to the source of heat and introduces calculation method of the heat dissipation quantity. On the basis of the research, this paper analyzes the influence of heat harm to human body, and introduces the method of non-mechanical refrigeration and mechanical refrigeration cooling. The monitoring and supervision system is applied to the cooling system. Based on practical situation of Gaofeng mine, this paper analyzed the main heat sources, calculated the heat yield and refrigerating capacity, proposed a mechanical refrigeration cooling scheme and evaluated the reliability and cooling effect of the scheme. The main contents and results obtained are as follows.(1) Mine heat source was divided into relative heat source and absolute heat source. The paper introduced the calculate method of the yield of each heat source, and analysis of the influence of the mine climate on human physiological and psychological and the aspects of efficiency and safety in work. Non-mechanical refrigeration and mechanical refrigeration cooling methods were introduced to solve the mine heat harm. Mine heat hazard was studied in underground workers to the influence of the physical, psychological and working efficiency.(2) The basic principle and composition of the monitoring and supervision system were researched. The paper applied the monitoring and supervision system to mine refrigeration cooling system, and studied the principle of system operation and equipment connection diagram(3) With Gaofeng mine as an example, the research shows that the main heat source of the mine are wall rock radiating, hot water radiating and electrical equipment radiating. According to the measured data of the excavation working face, the chilling requirement of-200m was calculated for1162.15kW.(4) According to the actual situation of Gaofeng mine, the refrigeration cooling scheme and ventilation optimization measures were designed, including the structure, function characteristics, operation principle of the system. The underground ventilation rate was increased. In-200m of the Gaofeng mine, two mine local refrigeration equipments are installed, which can basically meet the cooling demand in the-200m.(5) The reliability of the refrigeration cooling scheme of Gaofeng mine was analyzed with reliability. The result showed that the reliability was high. Cooling effect was evaluated with the unascertained theory, the results showed that the degree of thermal comfort of human body was changed from "less comfortable" to "comfortable" in-200m before and after cooling. Refrigeration effect was good.
