Polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS), was regarded as a new chemical product, and it is in focus throughout the World. It’s general formula was (RSiO3/2)n, where n was an odd number (n=4) and R=H, organyl, halogen, etc. The structure of POSS included inorganic nuclear as SiO2, and it’s the unique nano-hybrid compound now. POSS are emerging as a new chemical technology for nanoreinforced organic-inorganic hybrid materials. It can improvement the Performance of matrix, which makes POSS become the focus of many studies about Nanometer hybrid materials recent years.In this paper, octaphenylsilsesquioxane were synthesized by by the hydrolytic polycondensation of organic silicone monomers, and achieve very high yield (≥95%) in the expanding production. Then we obtained the best reactive condition of the Synthesis method of the ONPS, reduced the double nitration of aromatic rings, and confirm the structure f the products. On this basis, we synthesize OAPS by ONPS through Pd/C catalyst, the yield and quality are all superior to the product through the Fe-C catalyst. After that, OAPS reactived with Maleic Anhydride, we can get MAPS. The structures of products were confirmed by solid NMR, liquid NMR, FT-IR,GPC and Maldi-Tof.In this paper, we mixed OAPS with bisphenol A diisocyanate, and mixed MAPS with bismaleimide triazine resin in different ratio to make Nanometer hybrid materials. Then the mechanical characters of the composites was tested, the result show that the Tg and modulus of these two resin all alter along with the change of the POSS ratio.
