Along with updating and promotion of the airplane engine, more and more requirements are set up on oxidation stability of jet fuels. Many research agency deal with the compositions of the engine fuels or adding high performance additives. However, there is short of research on oxidation rapidity and how to estimate oxidation stability of jet fuels. To address the problem, the following researches were carried out and corresponding results and conclusions are drawn.First, based on an analysis of the formation the free radicals, methods of measuring generation and consumption rates of the free radicals in jet fuels were developed and used to evalutate the the generating rapidity of the free radicals and consumption of the antioxidant in hydrogenation jet fuels. Then a theoretical criterion is proposed on mastering amount of adding antioxidant in jet fuel; establish the mathematical model which can predict the storage life of the hydrogenation jet fuel, so the theoretical guidance is provided for storage of the jet fuel; propound the limit concentration of peroxide in hydrogenation jet fuel which might effect the thiokol sealant, so the science reference is provided for using the jet fuel.Secondly, in order to control performance of jet fuel in our country more well, enhance the oxidation stability of jet fuel comprehensively, and make the jet fuel satisfy the requirement of advanced airplane engine, correlatability was studied between three methods, i.e., the.(?)TC-2, JFTOT and HiReTS, which are representative instrumentation evaluating oxidation stability of jet fuel. Furthermore, influential factors on oxidation stability of jet fuels were studied, including antioxidant, antiwear additive, metal deactivator and high efficiency antioxidant, so the data support is provided for refineries and users. The results of this paper can be used for analyzing the theory of oxidation stability and deposition generating of jet fuel, additive research and high heat oxidation stability jet fuel research, it provide theoretic reference for controlling quality and using safely of jet fuel. |
