In recent years the photodynamic therapy (PDT) has received extensive attention. Fullerene (C60), as a kind of photosensitizer (PSs) with high yield of singlet oxygen (1O2), has been receiving much attention. However, poor water solubility of C60has hampered the successful application in PDT. To overcome this issue, it is necessary to develop suitable drug carriers. Recently, by means of using the template of needle-like nano-CaCO3, we have successfully fabricated hollow mesoporous SiO2nanotubes (MSNTs) with uniform morphology size and average length of around12μm. In this work, the prepared MSNTs were employed to as the C60drug carrier a preliminary study of its application in PDT is provided. This research is committed to building a new drug transmission system, and have achieved some results. |
