From the harmonious relationship between man and nature, ecology fair and thesustainable development to discuss the way that how to set up ecological values hastheoretical value and practical significance. From the practical point of view that thispaper will offer theory support and guidance to structure an ecological civilizationin China and has contributed to implementing the scientific concept and constructingsocialism harmonious society. From the theoretical level that the study of ecologicalvalues as the theoretical guide for ecological civilization will help Marxistecosystem’s further development.In the process of constructing ecological values, the primary significance ofbuilding ecological values is the harmonious relationship between man and nature. Onthe one hand, the harmonious development is the common interest for thedevelopment of man and nature. Ecological values as the extension of the ecologicalview of nature reflect a deep understanding of human nature with their mutualrelations. The formation and establishment of ecological values not only marks ourunderstanding of the relationship between man and nature has reached a new heights,also provides a sign for us about how to deal the coordinated development of man andnature. On the other hand, only the harmonious development of man with nature as acore relationship, can achieve a healthy relationship of human and natural; it is also,at the same time, the key to build ecological values.The concept of equality, as one of supporting theories about true ecologicalvalues, including the equality between human and nature, intra-generational andintergenerational between people. It’s also the principle of building ecological values.First is the equality between human beings and nature. Humans should recognizethemselves as a part of nature, also,is a member of the life community, there is nodifference between man and the other nature creature. Secondly, intra-generationalequality. That contemporary people has the equal opportunities in the use of naturalresources and their development. Thirdly, intergenerational equality. Contemporaryand future generations have equal access in the use of the Earth’s resources andecological environment, while the contemporary people should lay a solid foundationfor the development of future generations.Sustainable development, as the proper meaning of ecological values, it’s pursuitof harmonious development between man and nature, the pursuit of equality andharmony between man and nature, has become the practical assurance to built theecological values. On the one hand, adhere to the production areas of sustainableproduction. When humans engage in various economic activities, they should notonly to focus on economic efficiency, but also to pay attention to ecological and social benefits.On the other hand, to insist consumer spending in the field of ecology.In the ideological basis of establishing harmony between man and nature, providingservices and related products to meet human needs, while making minimalconsumption of natural resources, so as not to jeopardize the needs of futuregenerations. Thus we can establish the ecological values of sustainable development.
