Evaluation On Land Ecological Security In Gansu Province

Land is the spatial carrier and the material basis of human development. The landecological condition affects the sustainable development of human beings. At present, theland ecological security has become an important part of ecological security, land ecologicalsecurity evaluation as the starting point of land ecological security research, has essential.Taking Gansu province as the research area, combined with the characteristics of regionalenvironment, this paper establishes the evaluation index system of land ecological security forthe city of Gansu province employing PSR model. Based on this, this paper evaluates andanalyzes Gansu’s land ecological security using weighted method and comprehensiveevaluation method considering the dynamically time and the different area. Besides,according to the results of the evaluation and analysis, combining with the specific situationof Gansu Province, suitable targeted suggestions and countermeasures are brought up with, inorder to promote the standardization of the intensive utilization of land in Gansu Province, toimprove the effect of the implementation of the government land ecological protectionpolicies, to improve the current situation of land ecological and to provide safeguard for thelong development of mankind.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1) the land ecological environment in Gansu Province is damaged in a certain degree,the system structure changes, the service function degrades but can still maintain the basicfunctions, being easy to deteriorate after disturbance, ecological disasters have occurred timeto time, land ecological situation is not very safe, there is a certain risk.(2) From2000to2011, land ecological security status in Gansu Province improved tosome extent, the level of land ecological security increased to good level from sensitive level.The main reason for this is that natural population growth rate is low, agriculturalmachine-cultivated degree increases, farmers per capita income increases, the pollutioncontrol investment increases, the "three wastes" treatment rate increases, regional GDPgrowth enhanced the ability to improve the land ecological condition.(3) The differences among14areas in Gansu Province land ecological security are apparent, and they are all faced with larger land ecological security risks. Among them,Jinchang City, Jiuquan City, Jiayuguan City, Zhangye City and Wuwei City are in thesensitive level, while the remaining9cities are with in the risk level.(4) Different factors have different effect in every area, but in general, the state securityindex for each region had a greater influence on the land ecological security status a lot, theresponse security index has less effect on land ecological security status. At the same time,the pressure difference between areas is relatively small, state security value and responsesecurity valueare more different among regions.(5) Different regions face different main land ecological problems. Areas that bear morepressure from population are Linxiazhou City, Tianshui City and Lanzhou City; Areas thatbear more pressure from environmental pollution are Jiayuguan City, Zhangye City andJinchang City; Areas that bear more pressure from social economy are Linxia City, LongnanCity, Dingxi City. More serious problems on land use structure happen in Dingxi City,Pingliang City and Lanzhou City. Poor quality of land use happens in Gannanzhou City,Dingxi City and Qingyang City. Less response to environment management happens inDingxi City, Pingliang City and Longnan City. Poor social economy response happens inQingyang City, Pingliang City and Tianshui City.
