Frost phenomenon exists in the refrigeration temperature, air conditioning, aerospace,chemical machinery and other fields generally. frost in Instruments and equipment will affectthe normal operation, frost in heat exchanger will deteriorate heat transfer performance, frostin wing will greatly influence the safety of the flight, frost in voltage cable wire can causegreat economic losses.therefore,it’s very necessary to explore the effective frost suppressiontechniques, surface structure has an important influence on the surface frosting performance,so the research of the relationship between surface structure and frosting performance hasgreat significance for guidance to preparation frost suppression materials and it’s practicalapplication.This article use hydrothermal synthesis and hot pressing method preparation micro/nanoZnO, three-dimensional cylindrical structure surface with different surface microstructure andchemical composition firstly, and adopt the structure of micro/nano ZnO, three-dimensionalcylindrical structure, three-dimensional hole structure as the experimental object, forcharacterized morphology, infiltration and frosting performance experiment. ultimately,combine with the experiment data analysis of the relationship between surface structure,chemical composition, surface infiltration mechanism with the frosting performance.The experimental results show that the surface structure and chemical compositions candirectly affect the frosting process, the specimen with micro/nano structure and low surfacefree energy has more excellent frost suppression performance. the three-dimensionalcylindrical structure surface and three dimensional hole structure surface with regulargeometric structure parameters frost experiment results show that the surface structure of thegeometric parameters will directly affect the surface frosting process. Surface microstructurecomponent size is smaller, the surface microstructure morphology is simpler, condensation point of droplet nucleation are less, condensation droplet nucleation is more difficult. Surfacechemical modification can change the surface free energy, It’s easy to form t dropwisecondensation with smaller surface free energy, the heat transfer effect is better and it’s moredifficult to freeze, the surface frost suppression ability, the better.
