| In recent years, frequent occurrence of fire events around the world, which causing bodily harm was very great and arising people’s extensive concern,then, flame retardant technology has become a hot spot of research.The flame retardant function of fiber material has higher and newer requirements because of textiles live everywhere for our daily life.PET material has a lot of advantages, for example,high strength, good abrasion resistance, high modulus, good shape keeping property, heat and light resistance and outstanding wear resistance,so the PET fiber were extensivly applicated in textile. However,PET fiber belongs to flammable materials with extremely low limiting oxygen index, and melting decomposited when heated, which limited its application and far less than the flame retardant standards,so the study on flame retardant PET fibres becomes the current hot spot.At present, the flame retardants used in PET are mainly of halogen, phosphorus, and the other three categories,but with the improvement of enviromental and health regulations, the research of flame retardant is on trend of free halogen flame, ultra refinement flame,smoke and so on. In recent years, one of nano flame retardant materials CNTs becomes the focus of the study, while the carbon microspheres (CMSs) belongs to one abranch of carbon nano materials, receiving extensive attention because of its special structure and excellent physical and chemical properties, but it was mainly used for lubricating material,catalyst carrier,electrode materials.It has been rarely reported of the study on its flame retardant performance at home and abroad.First,Carbon Microspheres(PCMSs) was prepared by the core material of carbon microspheres and the capsule wall material of polyethylene terephthalate through in situ copolymerization method.The effects of flame retardant properties and morphology of PCMSs on the prepare process were mainly studied in the paper.The best preparation process of PCMSs was explored by orthogonal experiment design,and the molecular structure,microscopic and ultramicroscopic structure,thermal stability under the optimum condition were analyzed.Secondly,the morphology and structure of CMSs/PET and PCMSs/PET composite materals with different carbon content made by melt blending method were analyzed and characterized.This research focused on the flame retardancy,thermal properties and mechanical properties of PET composite materials with the best content, and it was used as a new flame retardant to prepare the PET composite fibers with different proportion.The micro structure, molecular structure,mechanical properties,degree of orientation and moisture absorption performance of composite fiber were analyzed, making sure the spinning process with the optimal additive proportion of flame retardant.Through studying and discussion, the main conclusions were draw as follows:(1)Carbon Microspheres(PCMSs) was prepared by the core material of carbon microspheres and the capsule wall material of polyethylene terephthalate through in situ copolymerization method.The best preparation process determinated by encapsulation and limiting oxygen index of PCMSs/PET composite was:mass ratio of PTA and EG was1:10, the reaction temperature was140℃,the reaction time was7h, content of catalyst2%, emulsifier1%, CMSs and PTA ratio of1:1.(2)The surface of carbon microsphere encapsulated was rough and rugged.Bursa wall material combined with capsule core material by hydrogen bonds and intermolecular force,which wall thickness was about50nm with the best coating ration of36.2%.(3)The PET composite material with PCMSs content of1%made through melt blending method had better dispersion and compatibility.And the limiting oxygen index of the PET composite material with CMSs content of1%was28.6%increasing by33.6%compared with LOI of PET,while LOI of the PET composite material with PCMSs content of1%was29.8%which39.3%higher than LOI of PET and4.2%higher than LOI of CMSs/PET. Additionaly,LOI of these two composite materials achieved V-0level,so that the addition of PCMSs improved the flame retardant performance of PET composite materials furtherly.(4)The CMSs/PET and PCMSs/PET flame retardant fibers were successfully prepared by melt spinning method. When the content of flame retardant agent was0.6%, the micromorphology,orientation degree and mechanical properties of PET flame retardant functional fiber were the best.The PET fiber of flame retardant agent0.6%was one of well flame retardant fiber with LOI of29.7and good moisture absorption performance. |
