With the development of modern economy and heavy metal pollution,contaminated vegetables have become one of the important ways to the heavy metalenters the body. Cadmium, lead pollution affect the nutritional quality and yield ofvegetables, lower the quality of vegetables, destroy the ecological environment, andthe consequences of pollution will cause difficult control.Celery as the material, was used to study the the cadmium, lead single andcombined pollution which impact on celery growth index and resistance index,physiological and biochemical enzyme activity, the main results were as followed:1. Different heavy metals could generate different effects on the same vegetable crops.Fresh weight and plant height of celery were advance by low concentration cadmiumlead single pollution and combined pollution.While High concentration could play therole of inhibition. The variations of promoting affect of low concentration andinhibition performance of the high concentration were as followed: cadmium and leadcompound pollution> cadmium single pollution> single lead pollution.while.2. The effect of single cadmium or lead and compound pollution on root activity ofcelery and MDA content of celery and proline content of celery and chlorophyllcontent of celery as followed:With the increase of concentration of cadmium or lead,single and compound,the root activity of celery decline significantly, The trend ofdecline on root activity show as: Cadmium and lead compound pollution>singlecadmium pollution> single lead pollution,The influence of chlorophyll content ismore complicated,The effect of single cadmium pollution on chlorophyll contentshow as the trend first rising after downward,And the decrease trend by single leadpollution and compound pollution. MDA content and proline content of celeryincreased significantly,the trend of increase show as: Cadmium and lead compoundpollution>single cadmium pollution> single lead pollution.3. Physiological and biochemical enzymes of celery are affected by the differentheavy metal pollution.The effect of cadmium or lead single and compound pollutionon SOD and POD and NR activity of the celery is consistent,The overall performanceis Enzyme activity first rising after down with the increase of applying concentration.the influence trend of SOD and POD show as:Cadmium and lead compoundpollution>single cadmium pollution> single lead pollution,The affect on the celeryGSH enzyme activity is a significant rise trend in GSH enzyme activity With applyingcadmium or lead single pollution and compound pollution concentration increased,The tend of increased show as: cadmium and lead combined pollution>singlecadmium pollution> single lead pollution.
