Abstract:Spinning is a forming method for making the blank continuous local plastic accumulation. It leaves helical spinning lines on the surface of thin-walled parts and forms microscopic defects which will affect the surface quality of spinning parts. Therefore, finishing rolling process is very important to improve the surface quality.Rolling processing makes the specimen surface metal get plastic deformation, the peak fills into the valley to reduce the surface roughness and improve the surface quality of the specimen. For the thin-walled cylindrical parts, ordinary rolling processing effect is not ideal and it is easy to appear deformation instability phenomenon. Therefore, the ultrasonic machining technology is introduced into rolling processing to form ultrasonic rolling processing with high efficient and energy, which is of great significance to improve the quality of thin-walled cylindrical parts surface.The paper designs the ultrasonic rolling device and uses it to do ultrasonic rolling processing experiments for manufacturing thin-walled cylindrical parts after spinning processing; use finite element software to build spinning and rolling two-dimensional finite element model, carry on the simulation analysis. Combined with the experimental results and simulation analysis, find that the ultrasonic rolling processing is feasibility and has a dual function of finishing and strengthening processing, reduces the surface roughness of spinning pieces, improves the surface hardness and obtained good surface quality and mechanical properties. The main results in this study and conclusions are as follows:(1)Through the new theoretical calculation, numerical simulation to design the amplitude transformer of ultrasonic rolling device, we find that the best working roller is big round cylindrical roller and the roller parameters have certain influence on the rolling effect. Use the experiment test to show that ultrasonic rolling device meets the resonant performance requirements and can be used for ultrasonic rolling process. (2)The study finds that choose axial vibration is the best ultrasonic vibration mode, axial ultrasonic vibration finishing rolling is better than ordinary rolling processing, and it can reduce rolling load and form a certain residual stress depth which will offset the residual tensile stress remaining in the surface of spinning parts. Through the test of rolling processed surface roughness and hardness, metallographic test and weld inspection, it indicates that the ultrasonic rolling can reduce the surface roughness value of spinning parts and increase the surface hardness, grain refinement, improve the weld microstructure of performance advantages. Test results match with the simulation results, it shows that ultrasonic rolling processing can improve the surface quality of spinning pieces of thin-walled cylindrical parts.(3)Through finite element analysis and experiment, find that vibration amplitude, frequency, rolling pressure, rolling speed, feed rate and rolling times have effects on rolling surface quality for spinning pieces. And all of them except rolling speed exist an optimum value, but rolling speed has little influence on rolling processing. Through linear regression analysis, it is concluded that the technical parameters on the rolling significant effect. It can provide basis for the study of spinning fishing.
