| Abstract:The low grade copper resources make up a large proportion in China, and copper in the ore is closely associated with pyrite, arsenopyrite. How to achieve selective separation of chalcopyrite from pyrite, arsenopyrite by optimizing the flotation technology of low grade copper ore, which is a key problem to improve the efficiency of copper resources utilization. Single mineral flotation tests combined with various test and analysis methods were carried out to investigate copper sulphide ore flotation system, including the surface properties and flotability, the combined use of collector and frother, the froth stability and so on. Basing on above mentioned researches, study on the flotation technology for Dulong low grade copper ore were conducted in this dissertation. The main research contents and conclusions are listed as follows:(1) Comparison of the effects of various collectors on the floatability between chalcopyrite and pyrite, arsenopyrite.The results of single mineral flotation experiment show that OLII-A has good selectivity and strong collecting ability for chalcopyrite, while weaker for pyrite and arsenopyrite than butyl xanthate. When the pH is about9.5, chalcopyrite and pyrite, arsenopyrite can be separated efficiently by flotation using lime combined with sodium humate as depressant.(2) Study on the effects of combination use of Terpenic oil and MIBC with OLII-A, respectively, on the selectivity of copper sulphide ore flotation separation, and the relationship between froth stability and separation selectivity.Artificial mixed mineral flotation tests show that using OLII-A as collector, Terpenic oil as frother, OLII-A and Terpenic oil has evident effect on the selectivity of mixed mineral flotation. When using MIBC as frother, it has significant effect on the selectivity of mixed mineral flotation. Besides, Froth stability tests indicate that with the change in collector and frother dosage, the changing rules of selectivity index, is in accordance with the changing rules of dynamic stability factor. Choosing suitable flotation reagents and determining the dosage based on the froth stability can improve the selectivity of copper-sulphur separation in flotation.(3) Study on flotation technology for low grade copper sulphide ore.The Dulong low grade copper ore with Cu grade about0.15%was used as raw material for flotation tests. By using OLII-A and MIBC as copper collector and frother respectively, copper concentrate with17.20%Cu,54.65%of recovery was obtained in the close circuit experiment. The grade of zinc and arsenic in copper concentrate was very low. Compared with the local production process, the grade and recovery of copper concentrate were greatly improved.44Figures,21Tables,79References. |
