With the development of mechanical manufacturing and super large partsmarket demand increasing, large-scale manufacturing equipment has becomethe inevitable trend of development, at the same time measurement ofprecision, efficiency, cost, etc must be carry out. Large equipmentmanufacturing need large-scale manufacturing equipment, it determines thebasic manufacturing equipment also need change at large-scale direction. Atthe same time large casting/forging processing the first thing to do is toremove the steel riser and excess weight, Large and super large casting/forgingof flame cutting equipment research and development has become theinevitable demand of market.This paper select gantry structure for the large thickness of flame cuttingmachine, give some design parameters, the structure design for gantryframework mainly metal structures such as beams, columns, slides and so on,motion mechanism to carry on the design of institutions, respectively. Throughthe two-dimensional layout method for large thickness flame cutting machinegantry frame metal structure of the overall layout, build the3d model of theparts and components, to build each component to the layout of the statement,clear the components of the datum plane and datum axis so as to complete theautomatic assembly of components; To join in the2d layout parameters andthe relationship of the size of the parts in the layout change size and figure ofrelated parts also change, so as to realize parametric modeling of large metalstructure of the thickness of flame cutting machine. Using thePro/MECHANICA carry out the finite element analysis to gantry frame’soverall stiffness.In this paper, the large thickness of flame cutting machine gantry metalframework for parameterized modeling, which can realize the whole frame structure of the series; Through the study of the finite element analysis ofgantry frame, find the gantry frame integral stiffness of the weakest link,proposed the influence gantry frame stiffness of the three main factors as awhole.
