ASP flooding has entered the stage of industrialization and application in DaqingOilfield. A large number of core flooding experiments and visualization microscopic floodingexperiments found that the same magnitude of interfacial tension of ASP flooding recoveryand emulsion droplets are different. Currently on oil displacement mechanism of this EORtechnology does not perfect understand. Application of existing knowledge can not solve theproblem of the above experiments. Therefore it is necessary to study the mechanism of ASPflooding residual oil.Firstly, study the mechanism of ASP-flooding start and transport process of residualoil through microscopic visualization flooding systems. Discuss the reasons that the floodingrecovery of ASP system with same magnitude of interfacial tension is different. Then use thecore flooding experiments confirm the above results. This paper compares the different of theASP flooding with different magnitude of interfacial tension, and compares the different ofthe ASP flooding with same magnitude of interfacial tension but different interface expansionviscoelastic. Record the generation process of residual oil after water flooding in oil-wet andwet model models. Record the process of ASP system start and migration of columnarresidual oil, membranous residual oil, droplets residual oil, corners residual oil, complexresidual oil. From two aspects of interfacial tension and interface expansion viscoelastic aspflooding is studied when the start and migration mechanism of residual oil.The experimental results showed that: The residual oil is not easily deformation and lessemulsified oil droplets, less residual oil recovery in hign interfacial viscoelastic expansionand ultra-low interfacial tension ASP flooding. The residual oil is prone to deformation andthe ability of emulsion droplets and oil silk strong in low interfacial viscoelastic expansionASP-flooding. Interfacial viscoelastic expansion can solve the problem of same interfacialtensionASP flooding with different oil displacement efficiency.
