The treatment of industrial wastewater pollution of environment is realizing the aim ofsustainable development and the biggest obstacle to the important strategy problem to besolved in our country. In this paper, based on previous studies, the new heterogeneous Fentoncatalysts were developed, which are significantly improve the performance of heterogeneousheterogeneous Fentn catalyst. Therefore, to develop novel heterogeneous Fenton catalyst withhigher efficiency and stability has become challenging topics in the Fenton reaction field andhas attracted great attention of many scientists.Fe-Cu-Ce/Al2O3and Fe-Cu-Ce/AC heterogeneous Fenton catalysts were prepared byimpregnating, and preparation processes were optimized. Fe-Cu-Ce/Al2O3and Fe-Cu-Ce/ACcatalysts were used to treat the wastewater polluted by methyl orange. In order to confiem theoptimum reaction condition the main effects on the reaction were investigated by experiments. The Fe-Cu-Ce/Al2O3catalyst had a perferable activityWhen the ratio of Fe:Cu:Ce is1:1:1;The Fe-Cu-Ce/AC catalyst had a perferable activityWhen the ratio of Fe:Cu:Ce is2:2:1;Adding too much or too little Fe or Cu are non helpful to improve the catalytic activity. Thecatalytic activity of the active ingredient was prepared by the same load significantly bettercatalysts prepared in other load sequence.Experiments results showed that three metal catalyst catalytic activity was significantlybetter than the single metal and bimetallic catalysts, because of adding of Cu and Ce whichwere significantly improved catalyst activity;with the increasing of calcinations time andcalcinations temperature, the color removal of methyl orange decreased after the firstincreased. Higher or lower proportion of impregnating solution was not conducive to improvecatalytic activity of the catalyst. With the increasing of initial concentration of methyl orange, the color removal ofmethyl orange gradually decreased. With the increasing of temperature, reaction time, and theamount of catalyst, the color removal of methyl orange gradually increased. However, thecolor removal not increased significantly after a certain reaction conditions. With theincreasing of the amount of hydrogen peroxide, the color removal of methyl orange decreasedafter the first increased. The catalyst, which had a good catalytic activity in the range ofpH5-8, broadened the adaptation range of pH heterogeneous Fenton Method.Discussed the impacts of wastewater which contain metal cations(K+, Na+, Ca2+, Mg2+)and anions (Cl-, NO3-, SO42-) on the heterogeneous Fenton system. Experimental results showthat: Ca2+, SO42-have significant inhibition, while we can ignored the impact of K+, Na+, Mg2+,Cl-, NO3-on the system. Furthermore, this paper studies the reaction kinetics of thisheterogeneous Fenton reaction of methyl orange solution system, the reaction order of NO is1.
