Using hydrothermal synthesis method, by controlling the reaction conditions suchas temperature, time, pH value, nine kinds of new structure of the synthesized withbiphosphopentamolybdate POM.The chemical formulas of nine compounds have been determined by elementalanalyses and TG analysis:(Hphen)3[PMo12O40](1)[Ag(P2Mo5O23)]2·10H2O+·10H2O(2)[Co(H2O)4(P2Mo5O23)2]·10H2O·2H2O(3)[Cu(H2O)4(P2Mo5O23)2]·10H3O·2H2O(4)[P2Mo5O23{Cu(phen)(H2O)}2]·2H3O·2H2O(5)(H2bim)3[{Na0.5(H2O)0.5}2{Mn(OH)4(H2O)2}{Na0.5(bim)}2{Mn(H2O)4(H2P2Mo5O23)2}]·4H2O (6)(bix)(H3bix)2[P2Mo18O62](7)[ZnO4(PMoO4)2](8)[(MnO2)2Mn3(PO4)4](9)(phen=1,10-phenanthroline, bim=2,2′-biimidazole, bix=1,4-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene)These new compounds are structurally characterized by IR and single crystal X-raydiffractions. Compound1is organic-inorganic supramolecular compounds, on the basisof Keggin type polyoxoanion clusters. Compounds2-6based on [P2M5O23]n-clusterformed organic-inorganic hybrid. For compound2-4were by transition metal orhydrogen bonds formed to1D,2D and3D structure, compound3is isostructural with4.Compoud5is composed of one [P2Mo5O23]6-, two [Cu(phen)(H2O)}]2+and four latticewater, through hydrogen formed1D and2D structure, the adjacent layers and layersform a3D structure by π–π stacking interactions. In compound6, four Na atom, one Mncenters, and two bim ligand are bonded together by four μ-O bridges to form infrequentpentanuclear fragments {[Na0.5(H2O)0.5]2Mn(OH)4(H2O)2[Na0.5(bim)]2}, eachpentanuclear segment links adjacent four Standberg units to form infinitesupramolecular dimer chains, these dimer chains are parallel with each other and further connected by Mn(H2O)4linkers to yield unique2-D layer. Compounds7through a longchain ligand bix generated hydrogen bonds forms3D structures. Compound8and9were pure inorganic compounds. Compound8is formed by phosphorus and manganeseby oxygen connection structure unit in the manganese by connected to1D to3Dstructure. In compound9, two Mo atoms and two P through O atoms to form a ring ofoctatomic, and formed through Zn with MOF structure3D compound.Through the study of electrochemical properties of the compounds1-9, the resultsshowed that compounds1-9have redox property. Additionally, and found thatcompounds1-9have good electrocatalytic activity for the reduction of H2O2.Additionly, the fluorescent properties of compounds1-9have been investigated,indicating that compounds6have good fluorescent properties.
