With the emergence of high-speed spinning spindles and mature technology,the friction wear of bead and ring has become a major obstacle to the speed of spinning,directly affects the quality and productivity of the spinning industry. Therefore, the preparation of high-speed bead and ring fricion to improve the quality has become an important research topic. This paper aims to improve the wear and corrosion resistance of the bead,by using chemical vapor deposition and physical vapor deposition deposited metal-based ceramic which has a wear and corrosion resistant properties. By analyzing the morphology and composition analysis, analyzed the microstructure and chemical composition; by friction and wear experiments,tested its friction and wear properties; by electrochemical etching experiments explored its resistance to corrosion; by the actual operation on spinning machine, tested its service life under actual working conditions,and with the comparation of the original product.The experimental results show that:1) TiCN, DLC ceramic coatings significantly improve the surface hardness of the bead matrix, reduce the surface roughness of the substrate.The best thermal cycle life of the TiCN coating is better than DLC, described TiCN coating having good adhesion.2) Under the high-speed, low-load conditions, TiCN coating shows good wear resistance; in contrast, in the medium-speed, high load conditions, DLC coatings show good wear resistance.3) DLC, TiCN ceramic coating having a finer crystal grains, having a two-layer structure, and the middle layer is the buffer layer.4) With XRD analysis of grinding,the main ingredient particles is friction workpiece,illustrating TiCN coatings have a good anti-wear properties.5) In a concentration of5%NaCl solution,compared with TiCN coatings, DLC coatings have a high corrosion potential and low corrosion current, showing better corrosion resistance.6) In the actual working conditions, the whole life of the deposized TiCN\DLC coatings bead increases by30%-40%than the hard chrome plating. We obtaining good results on the spinning machine experiments:the whole life of it increased by30%-40%than the hard chrome plating bead.Whether coating can play an anti-friction role, TiCN ceramic coating is more suitable for bead’s high-speed, low-load working environment.When speed is550r/min, load is30N,the friction coefficient can be achieved0.22,can play a good role in reducing wear.
