Research On Preparation Of Osb Based On SMF Resin And Waste Wood Veneer

In this paper, the research focused on the preparation of OSB which was prepared by SMF resin and veneer wastes. Firstly, Single factor experiment scheme was used to optimize the SMF resin formula, and the properties of SMF resin was measured. The relation of test factors (hot-press time, hot-press temperature, hot-press pressure, adhesive consumption, solid content of SMF, soaking time,core layer ratio) and the properties of OSB(IB, MOR,MOE,24h-Ts, IB*) were analyzed by pilot experiment and orthogonal design.The main conclusions were showed:(1)SMF resins were synthesized by sucrose, melamine and formaldehyde in alkaline condition(pH=8.5~9.0). Test results of panels based on SMF resins showed that the bonding strength was1.103MPa, and contact angle on the eucalyptus shavings was63.3°, and the test result of SMF resins showed that the solid content was54.6~55.8%, viscosity was14.4~17.5s/30℃, density was1.195~1.212g/cm3and pH value was8.5-9.0. SMF resins were milky white or yellow transparent liquid and good properties, which maybe suitable for the OSB produce.(2)The feasibility of OSB was verified by pilot experiment, and the results showed that IB, MOR and24h-Ts of OSB met the requirement of OSB/3of LY/T1580-2010. The hot-pressing and selection of adhesive consumption should be within a reasonable range because the bonding strength and24h-Ts would decline as long as the hot-pressing parameters beyond a certain range. (3)According to the pilot experiment results, orthogonal experimental design(L9(33), hot-pressing time, hot-pressing temperature and adhesive consumption as experimental factors) was used to study the optimal process parameters depended on four main evaluation indexs such as IB, MOR, MOE and24h-Ts. The results showed that hot-pressing time only had a small impact on MOR(//); hot-pressing temperature almost had no impact on IB, MOR,MOE and24h-Ts; adhesive consumption had a significant impact on IB, MOR(//), and had a small impact on MOE(//),24h-Ts. Through verification test, and considering all the factors, the optimal process parameters was hot-pressing time was55s/mm, hot-pressing temperature was165℃and the adhesive consumption was15%.(4)Orthogonal experimental design of soaking OSB was designed to optimize the process based on the experimental indexs of solid content, soaking time and core layer ratio. Considering all the factors, the experimental design of OSB with a better mechanical property was that adhesive solid content was50%, soaking time was10min and core layer ratio was60%, of OSB with a better expansion character was that adhesive solid content was30%, soaking time was30min and ten core layer was50%, and of OSB with a better IB*was that adhesive solid content was50%, soaking time was30min and core layer ratio was60%. Considering the properties of mechanic and water resistant, the optimal process parameter was that adhesive solid content was50%, soaking time was30min, core layer ratio was60%, and all of the properties of OSB had met the requirement of OSB/3,which could be used as loading panels under humid conditions.
