Currently, assembly of functional nanoparticles (NPs) and polymers hassignificantly enhanced the function of bulk materials. Due to the better application incatalysis, photonics, surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy and biological andmedical field, Au NPs have attracted people’s intense attention. In this thesis, wemainly introduced the preparation and application of the assembly of Au NPs andamphiphilic polymer, including:(1) Water-dispersible spherical superstructures were constructed from originalhydrophobic Au NPs in place of oil droplets in microemulsion as the templatesthrough the hydrophobic van der Waals interaction between hydrophobicbuilding blocks of tribolck biocompatible copolymers (F127) and alkyl chains onthe surface of Au NPs. The as-prepared Au superstructures, which possessedenhanced absorption in the near-infrared region, exhibited more efficientphotothermal behavior in comparison to individual Au NP.(2) Carboxylated F127was subsequently used to construct the assembly with AuNPs through the same method. Two distinct structures were obtained, namelyvesicles of Au NPs and spherical superstructures of Au NPs. The correspondingformation mechanism, influence factors and properties of assembly weresystematically discussed. The self-assembly of vesicles of Au NPs is expected tohave a potential application in biological and medical field.
