Water is indispensable natural resources for all life on Earth to the survival anddevelopment, and is essential energy for production and life of human. Jinan is a resourceswater shortage city, and as an important drinking water source in Jinan City, the water qualityof Jin Xiuchuan is directly related to life safety of people and normal operation of society.In order to ensure the stability of drinking water safety and social productiondevelopment, the quality of water environment and pollution risk are evaluated quantitativelywith Jin Xiuchuan of Jinan City as the research object in this paper.The main contents are as follows:1. Analyze the general situation of Jin Xiuchuan Reservoir, establish the evaluation indexsystem of water quality. Based on the geographical location, hydrogeological characteristicsas well as the social and economic conditions of Jin Xiuchuan Reservoir, investigate the JinXiuchuan reservoir surroundings and collect water quality monitoring data from2010to2012.Based on the principle of water quality index selection and the environmental qualitystandards for surface water, this paper selects six indicators, including the dissolved oxygen,permanganate index, BOD5, ammonia nitrogen, total nitrogen, and total phosphorus,establishes evaluation index system of water quality, and assignes corresponding weight forindexes.2. Jin Xiuchuan reservoir water quality evaluation based on fuzzy pattern recognitionmodel. Confirm Fuzzy Pattern Recognition Model as Water Quality Evaluation Model of JinXiuchuan, and evaluate water quality of consecutive years and the four quarters from2010to2012. The results show that: the water quality of Jin Xiuchuan reaches the class â…¢waterquality standard. The water quality is relatively stable with class â…¢water quality standard insummer, so the water can be used as drinking water; however, in winter, the water qualityreaches â…£ degree, and can notmeet the drinking water standards.3. Jin Xiuchuan reservoir eutrophication evaluation. Based on Eutrophication Criteria,this paper selects five evaluation factors, including chlorophyll, total phosphorus, totalnitrogen, COD, transparency, and establishes evaluation index system of water eutrophicationin Jin Xiuchuan. In addition, this paper evaluates the degree of eutrophication of Jin XiuchuanReservoir for consecutive years and the four quarters from2010to2012based on FuzzyPattern Recognition Theory. The result shows that the eutrophication in Jin Xiuchuan isserious.4. Jin Xiuchuan reservoir pollution risk evaluation based on the theory of unascertained mathematics. The water quality risk assessment based on the unascertained mathematicstheory of the model is adopted to conduct single factor evaluation and integrated risk analysisfor Jin Xiuchuan reservoir water quality. The result of single factor risk evaluation shows therisk degree sequence of factors is as follows: Total nitrogen (80.56%)> total phosphorus(61.11%)> ammonia nitrogen (44.44%)> dissolved oxygen (5.56%)> potassiumpermanganate (2.78%). The main pollutant sources that effect Jin Xiuchuan reservoir waterquality are nitrogen and phosphorus. The result of comprehensive risk analysis shows that therisk degree of excessive pollution is0.51. i.e. the over-standard pollutant discharge frequencyin Jin Xiuchuan reservoir is51%.5. According to the surrounding areas conditions of reservoir, including the social,economic, ecological environment and urban development, this paper identifies the mainsources of pollution affecting the water quality of the reservoir environment, includingagricultural non-point source pollution, domestic pollution sources, industrial pollution andpollution caused by tourism, and develops the corresponding management measures andpollution control technologies.
