| Boron resources are rich in China. Main boron mineral resources are ascharite and paigeite in our country. Ascharite has been nearly exhausted because of exploitation for many years, and can not fully meet the future needs of boron compound production. Blast furnace boron-rich slag is the mainly product which is highly grate of boron-rich from ascharite smelting, it is used as production of raw materials in industrial diboride. However, activity of blast furnace boron-rich slag was low, which resulted in lower that was the leaching rates for B. Therefore, studying on factors of activity of blast furnace boron-rich slag has a great practical significance to expedite development and utilize the paigeite resources and relieve the contradiction of born resources in our country.In this paper, blast furnace boron-rich slag was studied by using a calcified roasting.The influences of calcification agent speciesã€additive additionã€roasting temperature and roasting time on the activity of blast furnace boron-rich slag were investigated by calcified roasting method. The results indicate that the activity of boron-rich slag was increased with the addition of CaOã€CaCO3and Ca(OH)2respectively. The activity of boron-rich slag was the best of improvement with the addition CaCO3. The activity of boron-rich slag is87.81%when16.05g of Ca(OH)2was added into30g of bast furnace boron-rich slag and the boron-rich slag was calcined at950℃for2h.Secondly, the influences of additive addition (NaClã€Na2CO3) and roasting temperature and roasting time on the activity of boron-rich slag were investigated by soda roasting method. The results show that the activity of boron-rich slag was improved better with the addition of NaCl than the addition of Na2CO3. However, the equipment was corroded with the addition of NaCl and the irritating gases were released on roasting process. Therefore, Na2CO3was recommended to improve the activity of boron-rich slag. The activity of boron-rich slag was increased from16.7%to85.2%when6.5g Na2CO3was added into15g of boron-rich slag and the boron-rich slag was calcined at900℃for2h. |
