Photopolymer is a new optical material, compared with other materials, which has many advantagessuch as low cost, no pollution, real time recording etc., especially the high sensitivity and high diffractionefficiency, so the holographic photopolymer have a wide applications in the holographic and other fields. But, generally speaking, the holographic photopolymer materials are easy to crumple and have a limitedrefractive index modulation. In this paper, we doped the Al2O3-nanoperticles into photopolymer to improvethe dispersion of water-soluble nanoparticles by modifying the Al2O3-nanoperticles and controlling the PHof the nano-fluids, from which we could find the best doping conditions and methods to increase theanti-shrinkage properties of materials, further to improve the holographic properties of polymermaterials.Mainly includes the following several aspects:1. The nanoparticles were modified by inorganic electrolyte dispersant. Al2O3nanofluids wereprepared with “two step blending mtthod” which increased the dispersion of nanoparticles, and this piontwas verified by atomic force microscope, so the Al2O3-nanoperticles can be uniformly distributed in thepolymer film material.2. The Al2O3nanofluids were doped into photopolymer, with the process of the sample preparation isoptimized and the nanocomposite was prepared. We tested the optical performance of sample with variableanalysis method by changing the incorporation and the average particle size of the Al2O3-nanoperticles. Westudied bragg mismatch and the shrinkage of the sample and optimized the doping condition.3. The different PH environment were debugged to study the effect of PH on the holographicproperties of Al2O3Nanoparticle dispersed acrylate photopolymer and find the best PH environment.4. The Al2O3-nanoparticle was modified by anionic surfactant and cationic surfactant to discussedits dispersion characteristics with different modification methods. The different modifiedAl2O3-nanoparticles were doped into the photopolymer. We tested their holographic characteristics and findthe best modification method. 5. All told, the experimental results based on the dimensional analog images and digital images showthat the sanple has a stable storage performance and a good reproduction. This show that the compositematerials doped with modified Al2O3-nanoperticles in our paper is expected to further in holographicstorage applications.
