The development work of Xingnan development area is proceeding at the high water-cutperiod. To solve the problem of reserve-production imbalances, Fine calculation requirementsfor geological reserves is sedimentary units and specific types of sand body. In order tounderstand geological reserves of different sedimentary microfacies and different types ofsand body. Provide reliable basis for encryption of remaining. So we carried out the researchon fine calculation method for geological reserves. After subdividing sedimentary unit, finecalculation of geological reserves depends on the type of sand body are. This study mainlyadopt triangulation to calculate geological reserves of sedimentary units and specific types ofsand body nicely. To solve current adoption errors brought by “thickness average”.The newmethod makes the geological reserves calculation more reasonable, and it meets the request ofthe geologic reserves fine calculation of sediment unit and concrete sand type.With the continuous development of oilfield, the previous calculated value ofrecoverable reserves of Xingnan development area is not adapt to the requirement ofdevelopment, so needs to be calculated.again. Xingnan development area exploit differentformation under the condition of the same set of well pattern and the same formation isexploited by different sets of well pattern. Mining condition is complex. So need to researchon each set of well pattern development regularity and exploitation characteristics, and on thisbasis we determine the calculation method of recoverable reserves in the different wellpatterns of different blocks.Accurate calculation of recoverable reserves is not only the needsto evaluate development effect and measure development level, at the same time, also be thebasis of making development plan and adjustment. So accurate calculation of recoverablereserves has great significance for the oilfield.The study systematically survey the domestic and foreign reserves classification andevaluation methods of recoverable reserves. The application conditions of recoverablereserves evaluation and applicability are analyzed. According to the developmentcharacteristics of each block and the development stage of Xingnan development area, Theresearch apply Tong’s chart, waterflooding characteristic curve and the experience method ofrecovery percent of reserves to calculate recoverable reserves.
