Along with the development of global industrialization process, environmentpollution becomes more and more serious. Environmental issues have already becomethe most important problem which influence human survival and development. Inrecent years, photocatalytic reaction has become an ideal environment pollutioncontrol and clean energy production technology with its greenhouse depth of reactionand directly using solar energy as the light source to drive the reaction uniqueperformance. Photocatalytic oxidation has been considered as the most promisingtechnology to solve environmental pollution problems and has become the researchfocus in the field of environment. The main work in this paper is focussed on themodification of semiconductor photocatalysts with the method of hydrothermal, bychanging the synthesis temperature, pH, and doping Ag+and Sm3+, thephotodegradation activity of the products has been studied. The main contents of thispaper are as follows:1、At first, we have mainly introduced the recent research process of photocatalytsand the application of photocatalytic technology. Present the mechanism ofphotocatalyst and its synthesis modification method. Finally, we emphatically madethe point the purpose and significance of the dissertation.2、 In this work, we report a facile one-step hydrothermal approach for synthesis ofhollow microspheres monoclinic BiVO4. The chemical structure and morphology andthermal stability have been studied by XRD, SEM, TEM, TG and UV-vis, respectively. The photocatalytic activity of products was evaluated by the degradation of methylblue (MB) and Rhodamine B (RhB) in water under UV-light irradiation.3、Monoclinic structure Ag3VO4was prepared by adding different surfactantssodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS), polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and citricacid (HLC) via facile hydrothermal method. The products were characterised by XRD,SEM, TEM, TG curves and UV-vis spectrum.4、 Novel light driven by Ag+/BiVO4and Sm3+/BiVO4photocatalysts weresynthesized via a facile hydrothermal method. Prepared samples showed highphotocatalytic activity for the photocatalytic degradation of MB and RhB aqueoussolution. The results showed that the doping of the Ag+/Sm3+can improvephotosynthetic performance greatly.
