Urea-formaldehyde microcapsules loaded sandalwood fragrance was prepared via in-situ polymerization, with urea-formaldehyde as wall material,Tween80as emulsifier.Then the fragrance microcapsules was applied to the Xuan paper aroma finishing.Technologies preparation has been improved in the paper.Keep urea-formaldehyde mole ratio as1:1.7,regulate the pH value to8-9and react for1hour in70℃In the prepolymerization stage. Polycondensation was carried on at room temperature,adjust the terminal pH value to1and cure completely to get white solid powder.The level range of three factors--size of emulsified fragrance,wall/core ratio, content of solid were arranged through single factor experiments.Simulation models--whose R2value is0.9927--between size of the nano-capsules and the three factors was conducted by Design-Expert software.The verification experiment result error was calculated within6%, certifying a high reliability to the mode.Evaluation Indicators of the Fragrance Microcapsules were characterized.Dynamic light scattering were participated to check the microcapsule size dispersion,surface topography of the microcapsules were pictured by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy.Thermal stability and embedding rate were analyzed by the thermogravimetric analyzer respectively.Changes of fragrance composition before and after the encapsulation were investigated by the gas chromatography-mass spectrometry,and microcapsules release mechanism was also primarily discussed.Fragrance microcapsules could be applied directly to the Xuan paper aroma finishing. Scanning electron microscopy shows that microcapsules can firmly adhered on the fiber.The E-nose proves that microcapsules is significantly greater than emulsified fragrance in aroma profiles,and has a good slow-release performance.Pliability and ink absorbency of Xuan paper is not affected after aroma finishing treatment.
