The deformation law of coal adsorption and desorption of gas has the theoretical and practical significance to guide underground gas drainage, the ground drilling drainage of coal bed gas and coal and gas outburst disaster prevention. Based on the theory of rock mechanics, seepage mechanics, coal and rock deformation, experimental mechanics and so on, through experimental study and use the self-made equipment to carry out the experiment of coal adsorption and desorption of gas deformation law under different pressures and different loading of Baolitiexin9#, Xinzhouyao and Shanxitingnan4#coal samples when gas pressure range from0.0MPa-2.3Mpa.The experiment results show that:The expansion deformation amount after the coal adsorbs the gas and shrinkage deformation amount after the coal desorbs the gas will increase as the time goes by and gradually stabilize. The changing trend of deformation over time can be divided into three stages:fast growth, slow growth and balance. The expansion deformation of coal adsorption shows anisotropic. If the gas pressure is greater, the anisotropic performance will be more obvious. Deformation of coal produced in the cascade load experiment is greater than that in constant load experiment. After the coal absorbed and desorbed the gas, the residual deformation mainly shows in the direction of parallel bedding, the residual deformation generated in the cascade load experiment is greater than that in the constant load experiment.
