Mo-Ni ore is a kind of special resources that has a lot of low grade metal ores in China, it’s mainly distributed in the South China. Through the process mineralogy research of the ore from Hunan Zhangjiajie Xinyuan, the main molybdenum nickel minerals are Molybdenite and Nickel Pyrite. The factory exists the process of hyperbaric oxygen ammonia leaching, due to the low grade of Mo、Ni in undressed ore, the leaching process consume a large number of agents, and the production cost is higher.This study aims to improve the grade of immersion raw material, and realize pre-discarding tailing by mineral processing technology. It uses the technology route of flotation-hydrometallurgy, and combine with the thought that non-metallic mineral processing is using small diameter waterpower hydrocyclones for ultrafine classification, the dressing part uses the technology of "hydrocyclone classifica tion-Mo Ni mixed flotation". Mo-Ni ore is used classification after grinding by hydrocyclone, and make the fine grained gangue mineral into overflow, reslize the pre-discarding tailing; The underflow is used to Mo-Ni mixed flotation for the enrichment of Mo、Ni, and provides the high grade raw material for the hyperbaric oxygen ammonia leaching process.Through the system test study on the part of mineral processing to determine the optimum parameters of cyclone, it obtain at the φ75mm cyclone pulp density of9%, feed pressure of0.25MPa; the feed pressure of φ50mm cyclone is0.35MPa; grinding time is40min, and the content of-0.074mm level is80%±. The best dosage of flotation reagents obtain at the pulp pH of8.0, lime dosage of900g/t, sodium silicate dosage of50g/t, sodium hexametaphosphate dosage of200-300g/t, BK-301dosage of200g/t,2-octyl alcohol consumption of150g/t, and promote the whole flow of closed-circuit test. The grade of Mo2.45%, Ni2.13%in run-of-mine ore, through two times classifier, one times roughing, and four times scavenging, it get the Mo-Ni mixed concentrate that has a Mo grade of9.06%and a recovery rate of87.60%, a Ni grade of7.36%and a recovery rate of81.86%. The result realized the preconcentration of Mo, Ni, it will remarkably raise the leaching process of throughput and leaching efficiency, reduced the cost of production, and achieved the anticipated goal of pre-discarding tailings.
