Oriented silicon steel is an important functional material for manufacturingtransformer iron core and the large generator stator core. However the import ofhigh-end oriented silicon steel in our country up to more than twenty million tonseach year,because of the core technology of producing oriented silicon steel,such ascomposition control,grain refinement and purify of oriented silicon steel,hasn’t beenmastered, so research of the production technology of oriented silicon steel has animportant significance.Resent years,RE was applicated in iron steel studied deeplyand high-tech materials,for example, non-oriented silicon steel,it can improveelectromagnetic, but it is still stay blank in oriented silicon steel.The study which isapplied in non-oriented silicon steel offers the potential for the development of REapplied in oriented silicon steel that studing influence of RE on microstructure andtexture of oriented silicon steel in the process of producing.The influence of RE on microstructure and texture of grain oriented silicon steelwas the main purpose in this study,the samples was made by Vacuum arc furnace,thenprocessed by hot-rolled, normalizing, pickling,cool-rolled, primary recrystallized andhigh temperature annealing treatment.Using modern analytical technology to analysisthe texture and microstructure of samples processed and statistic the grain size of thesamples through high tempreture annealing,studied the influence of RE on the textureand microstructure of oriented silicon steel.In this study, The result showed that the microstructure of samples treaded by allprocesses is refined after addition RE which played the role of purifying,especiallyafter Primary recrystallization annealing, however the sample with100ppm-RE,abnormal, had thick grain,which is3times than others,it is obviours the grain in heartministry. For the texture,its growth is promoted and its density levels isstrengthened,but there is no significant effect on getting the goss with accurateorientation,the best sample are the samples with20ppm-RE which has accurateorientation of goss with3.0-density-level and deviation orientation with 6.7-density-level and50ppm-RE which has Goss with4.8-density-level.
