| In the preparation of diamond tools, under the premise of performance, to reducethe sintering temperature of the diamond tools is the common goal for all researchers.Because of oxidation temperature for synthetic diamond in the air is740~840℃,when diamond is under1000℃, within very little oxygen, graphitization phenomenawill occur which detriments the performance of diamond grits. In order to lower thetemperature of the sintered diamond, the powder composition, the sintering methodand the sintering atmosphere were changed by researchers, but end up with noimproved effects.Ni-Cr-P alloy powder of low temperature sintering was achieved by enhancing thepowder energy in this paper,which was caused by grain refinement, grain refinement,surface activation, increased internal defects during the process of ball milling.Analyzethe change trend of powder energy byusing SEM, DSC, EDX and sintering toprove the existence of powder energy. The successof sintering under low temperatureand the generating of chemical compoundwere found during the process of ballmilling. The physical properties and chemical properties were improved by emergingof powder energy. The damage of diamond during traditional sintering was reduced.The experimental results show that (1) With the increase of milling time, powderparticle size was decreased then increased and reduces again; The morphology ofpowder was became polygon, then into granule,with the increase of milling time.(2)By SEM, the ball milled powder morphology was observed, The existence of powderenergywas proved by DSC.The corresponding energy morphology and powderpowder was found,20hours of the highest energy ball milling.(3)The milled powdersto reach the corresponding density, hardness and bending strength at lower thannormal sintering temperature is below100℃.(4) It could be found that the reactunder low temperature between powder after ball milling and diamond was moresufficient and well-proportioned. Therefore, it was proved that the diamond toolsmade of ball milling powder could satisfy required performance after sintering under low temperature. And the performance could be improved by reducing the damage ofdiamond. |
