There reserves of about1317×108m3coal-bed methane in southern Qinshui basin, itaccount for more than60%of the national reserves, it has great development value andenergy efficiency. The coal-bed methane mining condition there is superior, most of thecoal-bed methane reservoir has high permeability, high air content, high saturationcharacteristics. When coal-bed methane development quickly in a short period of time,therefore, Qinshui coal field widely distribute vertical Wells, the traditional method ofcollecting gas through vertical Wells in the later maintenance is fixed frequently, and gascollecting effect gradually becomes poor. In order to explore a more suitable way for Qinshuicoalfield. Taking trajectory designing and controlling of the CBM horizontal wells drilling asthe content, reducing cost and difficulty for the drilling making economically reasonable andtechnically feasible technical method has important guiding significance.Taking trajectory designing and controlling technology of Qinshui coalfield SH-U1-1in Sihe coal mine as the research object, through the theoretical analysis and experiencelearning, simulation calculation methods, designing well bore structure, section of the welltype, using the translational tangent method and parallel tangent method to design theimportant parameters borehole trajectory by using CAD, Surfer and Landmark software toestablish objective model and simulates the path curve. And according to the characteristicsof CBM horizontal Wells and the deflecting tools we come up with the partitioned controllingmethod, and analyzes the factor which influencing the trajectory controlling and trajectorycontrolling mechanism. It has achieved expected effect. The results show that usingLandmark software to design and controlling wellbore trajectory by partitioned controllingmethod is useful for increasing the accurate.
