The piezoelectric materials are used in the smart structres because of its piezoelectricproperties. They can get the stress state on the surface of the structures. With the inverse piezoelectriceffect, we also can load load on the surface of the structure. Because of the unique features of smartmaterial, it can be widely applied in active vibration control. The excellent workers are using thistechnology to research a kind of new intelligent health monitoring technology. The research content ofthis paper is based on the new intelligent health monitoring technology, using the method ofsimulation on the theoretical research, and hope to be able to put forward some valuable referenceinformation.In this paper, the authors described a simulation algorithm about the elastic wave propagating inthe hybrid model of piezoelectric element and laminated plate which combined the piezoelectricelement and spectral element. Different from the traditional finite element, this algorithm introduced aelectric signal to actuate a wave in the plate instead of the nodal force. This method was conformingto the actual structure and the result of the simulation was more persuasive and had more reference.Through introducing the result of the simulation of the hybrid model and the single, the authors foundthe better one. At last, the authors did a simulation about the method of ultrasonic phased damagedetection.
