Water-based rust inhibitor is a environmentally friendly rust inhibitor which issiluted by water. It mainly onsists of water-solube film matrix, a variety of anti-rustadditives, surfactant and water. After using water-based rust inhibitor for metal’s rustinhibitor treatment, it can not only play a good effect, but the next one before makingprocesses, without cleaning metal or cleaning metal easily. Using water-based rustinhibitor can reduce making processes and processing difficulty, cut down processingtime and greatly improving production efficiency. Meanwhile, it hasn’t have odor andtoxicity to use water to instead of organic solvents and is environmentally friendly,low processing costs, non-flammable and less harmful to humans. So it is thedevelopment direction of the anti-rust products.Dichromate and sodium nitrite are the two tyoes of traditional water-based rustinhibitor which are used widely. They are just dissolved in water to dubbed a certainconcentration, which can achieve short-term anti-rust effect, the anti-rust period isabout20days. However, they have toxicity and environmental pollution. In order toovercome the disadvantages that the water-based rust inhibitor using the toxicsubstances such as nitrite, dichromate and so on and the high-cost substances such asmolybdate and so on, the article studies the water-solube lithium silicate as the mainfilm substrate, it is mixed with a variety of different types of rust additives to preparea low concentration environmentally friendly water-based rust inhibitor. The effectcan be evaluated by the appearance, the high concentration of NaCl solutionimmersion test methods and so on. To determine the best ratio of anti-rust agents bysingle factor and orthogonal experiments: add the LiOH (M=2.5) powders to theactive silicic acid solution which is0.75g/L. The amount of organic acid A is0.5mL/L.The amine B is0.2g/L. The phosphate C is0.15g/L. The amount of OP-10is0.3mL/L.The prepared water-based rust inhibitor can reach anti-rust requirement, the solutionstability is more than nine days, the cost is about150yuan/t. It has the goodprospects.Lithium silicate materials are a series of compounds which is reacted by lithium metal salt and silicate acid such as Li4SiO4、Li2SiO3and so on. They have a lot ofexcellent properties such as good mechanical properties, physical and chemicalstability tritium solubility, etc. They are widely used in all kinds of fields such asmarine engineering, construction, etc. In recent years, people began to use the lithiumsilicate materials into lithium-ion battery materials, breeder materials andenvironmental materials, They are a type of functional materials which have goodprospects.In this paper, we use LiNO3and active silicic acid as raw materials, use citricacid as complexing agent and reducing agent, nitrate as oxidant, to prepare lithiummetasilicate powders at lower temperature by self-propagating combustion method.Explore the influence of the pH, the molar ratio R(n(LiNO3):n(C6H8O7)), thesolution concentration and the aging temperature and so on. The optimum conditionsare determined by single factor and orthogonal experiments: the pH is equal to6which is adjusted with aqueous ammonia solution, the molar ratio R(n(LiNO3):n(C6H8O7))=1.0:1.0, the concentration of LiNO3solution is0.6mol/L,the solution was aged at80℃for a period of time. The wet gels are obtained at90℃,it is thermostatic at580℃for an hour. Under this condition, the sample is cube-typelithium metasilicate, the particle size distribution is very uniform, the average particlesize is150nm. It belongs to sub-micron level.
