| One of the most important process in steel rolling is to remove the oxide scalewhich generated when the billet processed by stove. The high pressure water descalingtechnology to remove oxide scale is widely used as its economical and efficient features.The technology emanated abroad and referenced by many of domestic steelmakers. Thehigh water pressure in descaling pipe and frequent switching of valve will lead to highpressure water hammer coupled with pipe shaking and noise. Numerical software isdeveloped based on the design commands of high-pressure water descaling system inthis paper. The variation of the pipe pressure is studied, and the preventing methods arediscussed.The concrete contents are as follow:The mathematical model of water hammer is built based on the design needs ofhigh pressure water descaling system. The pressure variation in the pipe is obtainedusing the characteristic line equation and some of boundary conditions including pump,pipe, pipe system, poised and other systems are discussed.Experiment is adopted based on the water hammer theory as verification. Pressurevariation and working parameters of the accumulator are studied. The effects ofdifferent layout and installation location of the piping system is studied, and thereasonable layout to reducing the water hammer is discussed by numerical results.The stress of the pipe is complex as descaling system components are complex.This paper calculated the pressure variation in transition pipes, triplets, elbows, andaccording to the numerical results, the distribution of pressure in pipe is discussed and areference for the mounting bracket installation is provided. |
