| Laser processing is advanced composite manufacturing technology set light, machines,electrical, materials and other disciplines in one, known as the "universal tool", it and modernnumerical control technology combined with high automation processing equipment, whichcan break the bottleneck many traditional manufacturing methods are unable to achieve. Lasercutting and engraving is the most important part of the field of laser processing applied to. Itcan be applied to most of the metal and non-metal materials. Study on laser carving andengraving equipment is very important, it can meet the demand of domestic market, breakingthe monopoly of foreign technology in the field, and promoting our laser carving andengraving technology.With the development of computer technology and control technology, open motioncontroller based on DSP and FPGA is widely used in all kinds of motion control system, andbecome the basis of advanced manufacturing technology. The PMAC motion controllerproduct by the USA’s Delta Tau Company is the representative. So this paper carried out theresearch and development of laser cutting and engraving equipment base on PMAC motioncontroller.Hardware: First the PMAC motion controller application technology are analyzed andstudied, and then design the AC servo motor with PMAC as the core of the control systembased on the XYZ three axis CNC platform, completed the design and selection of laser andoptical path part, completed the electrical control part of the design, wiring and debugging.Software: Based on the Windows operating system, using Visual C++6.0as thedevelopment tool, designed a PC control software for the laser carving and engraving system.The main functions of the software are manual operation; seek to zero, import DXF graphicfile, motion control code automatic generation and download, laser control, display andmonitoring and so on.Finally, analysis and study of the position servo PID and for feed-forward algorithm principle and various parameters on the control effect of the performance of the controlsystem, and through analysis the response characterstic of the position step and the parabolicvelocity response, tuned and optimized the parameters of the system. the experimentsshow, the system can effectively and in good running. |
