Filament winding technology is an important forming method for themanufacturing technology of new composite materials. Compared with conventionalmaterials, the composite material has incomparable advantages and was widely used inthe fields of aerospace industry and civil industry. With the advantages of high intensity,light weight and erosion resistance, the T-shaped pipe of the composite material waspaid more attention. There is little date about the T-shaped pipe winding in our countryand most stay in the theoretical analysis and there is no validated. Reasonable windingtrajectories of the T-shaped pipe could improve the comprehensive performance ofproducts and expand product applications. The winding simulation system is necessaryfor the development of the T-shaped pipe, which can reduce costs, improve the productdevelopment speed and correct the design errors in time.Due to the asymmetrical heterotypic structure of the T-shaped pipe, the traditionalwinding theory is very hard to wind the structure perfectly. In this paper, a new windingtrajectory is proposed which consists of several lines. The calculation method of lines,curvature, steps and the method to judge whether the winding trajectory could be stableon the surface without sliding during the winding trajectory generating is determined.By conducting a reasonable stationing in the transition area and track spacing control,we solve the problems of coverage incomplete and track irregularities.In order to achieve more accurate winding trajectory and avoid the fiber twistingmany times in the process of winding the T-shaped pipe, we design a filament windingdevice model with6degrees by the type of gantry and rotary table which will be easyfor us to facilitate the installation of the mandrel. The space coordinate system isfounded and the coordinate transformation between each part is analyzed. The filamentwinding process is achieved by the independent kinematic of the T-shaped pipe andspinning nozzle. In this paper, two kinds of post processing methods are set up and theadvantages and disadvantages are analyzed respectively.Finally, the simulation system is developed by the Component ApplicationArchitecture (CAA) method of secondary development of CATIA. The system could beused to design reasonable winding trajectory, to realize the winding post processing andmotive simulation. The correctness and rationality of the theory is proven by thesimulation experiment.
