Now the dispersion of gangue in the coal separation increase the slurry processdifficulty and reduce the separation efficiency,so inhibiting the gangue dispersionfrom the source is very significant.The dispersion of clay mineral in the coal is themain factor affecting the slurry settlement and filtering,and the swelling anddispersion of the montmorillonite mainly lead the coal and gangue dispersion.Theclay inhibitor which can inhibit the swelling and dispersion of clay has been widelyused in the oil industry,and it is very effective. This paper tries to use clay inhibitortoinhibit the dispersion of coal gangue,andimprove the slurry sedimentation andfiltration,research and analyze the regularity and mechanism of these clay inhibitor.The results shows:As for the montmorillonite,compared with the non-inhibitorycondition,the inorganic inhibitors(Na+、K+、Ca2+、Mg2+) and the two kinds of organicinhibitors(PAM、 TMBAC) have inhibition effect,inhibition effect ofbenzyltrim-ethy-lammonium chloride(TMBAC) is the best,the settling rate and thesolid concentration and the filtration specific resistance is13.83cm/min、300g/L、1.19E+14when the TMBAC concentration reached0.3%;When used compoundmedicament,each index is the best when the TMBAC and Ca2+concentration was0.3%and10mmol/L,the settling rate and the solid concentration and the filtrationspecific resistance is15.60cm/min、295.15g/L、1.78E+14.As for thegangue,inhibition effect of Ca2+is the best in theinorganic inhibitors,the inhibitioneffect of TMBAC is better than Ca2+,the three index above is3.79cm/min、400.00g/L、5.90E+14when the TMBAC concentration reached0.08%;When used compoundmedicament,each index is the best when the TMBAC and Ca2+concentration was0.05%and5mmol/L,the three index above is3.69cm/min、438.87g/L、7.10E+14.Mechanism analysis shows that the small molecular weight organic matterTMBAC can not only lie on the particle surface to make it lose water sensitivity, andcan enter the crystal layer and form permanent adsorption, so it can inhibit thedipersion of ganguebetter.The particle sizeanalysis and the XRD analysis resultsconfermed that the inhibitors produce inhibition effect through stabilizing the claycrystal layer space.TMBAC can reduce-0.045mm especially-10um fine particles in thecoalpreparation process,the inhibition effect of TMBAC is better than the inorganicinhibitors,andhas persistent effect, so adding TMBAC can provide a feasible way for reducing slime generation,improving the coal slurry settlementand filtering.
