The thesis consists of four chapters as follows:Chapter one: ReviewsThis chapter mainly reviewed the three subsections including (1) Heteropoly acid (HPA). Itmainly introduced HPA from the structure, the property as well as the supported HPA catalysts.(2) Polymer supports. It presented the type, the supporting and the king of the polymersupports.(3) Application of polymer supported catalysts. It concluded the application of thepolymer supported catalyst from the application of the polymer supported catalyst in manyreactions, such as oxidation reaction, addition reaction, reduction reaction, etc.Chapter two: Preparation of polyethylene glycol supported-phosphotungstic acidcatalyst and its applicationsThe PEG20000supported phosphotungstic acid catalyst, named as PEG-TPA, was preparedthrough impregnation method, and characterized by FT-IR, XRD and XPS determination. Thecatalytic activity of PEG-TPA is evaluated by catalyzing the esterification reaction, theBaeyer-Villiger oxidation and the Friedel-Crafts alkylation reaction. The results showed thatPEG-TPA bore high activity, stability and good reusability in these catalytic rections.Chapter three: Preparation of quaternary ammonium salt modified Methoxy-polyethylene supported phosphotungstic acid catalyst and its applicationsIn this chapter, the quaternary ammonium salt modified polyethylene glycol supportedphosphotungstic acid catalyst (QMPEG-TPA) was prepared through impregnation method, and characterized by FT-IR, XRD, TGA, SEM, etc. The catalytic activity of QMPEG-TPAcatalyst was evaluated by catalyzing the esterification reaction, the Baeyer-Villiger oxidationreaction and the Friedel-Crafts alkylation reaction. It was found that QMPEG-TPA had highactivity, stability and good reusability.Chapter four: Preparation of quaternary ammonium salt modified chloro-methylatedpolystyrene resin supported phosphotungstic acid catalyst and its applicationsThe quaternary ammonium salt modified chloromethylated polystyrene resin (1%DVB)supported phosphotungstic acid catalyst, named QMCMCPS-TPA, was prepared throughimpregnation method, and characterized by FT-IR, XRD, TGA, SEM, etc. The catalyticactivity of QMCMCPS-TPA was evaluated by catalyzing the esterification reaction, the Baeyer-Villiger oxidation reaction and the Friedel-Crafts alkylation reaction. It showed thatQMCMCPS-TPA processed high activity, stability and promising reusability.
